On the trip, you will have:
A large backpack (max 20 kg), which porters will carry and will be available to you at the camp (overnight).
A small backpack (max 7 kg), which you will carry on your back during the trek.
If you arrive in Tanzania with a larger piece of luggage, you can leave it at the hotel for safekeeping, where it will wait securely until you return from the mountain.
In a small backpack, plan only the very basic items, so it's not too heavy and doesn't tire you out. These should include:
drinks (water or juices, isotonic drinks) - reusable bottles with a total capacity of 4 liters, including one thermal bottle (keeping warm) - for the highest, coldest sections of the trail. Note: it is forbidden to bring disposable plastic packaging into the park, for example, water bottles purchased in a grocery store energy
bars or your favorite sweets ("quick energy" on the trail), other snacks (e.g., kabanos sausages from Poland)
light rain jacket additional outerwear, e.g., fleece trekking
poles / sunglasses / camera
Wear comfortable and previously tested trekking shoes and a hat or cap to protect you from the burning sun.


In your main backpack, you need to load all the other things you'll need on the trail, including:
